Recently it has become obvious that IT projects can be well developed by virtual team. Even the large ones. The advantages of virtual teams are no office costs and equipment costs.
There are some disadvantages of virtual teams which are low coordination of team members, hardships discussing complex problems and hours differences. That exactly what the project manager should take care of. The project manager is the primary person who should organize the work of virtual teams to remove the disadvantages and make the work very effective. All technical means which are currently available on the market allow to do so.
